Egoditor (now Bit.ly Europe) was looking for a quicker and more efficient way to leverage its market position.
They chose Zeile7 — an expert in end2end digitalisation and software engineering — to shift to a lean & nimble tech platform. The goals were efficiency and higher throughput.
Bitly wanted to get their tech team to the next level.
After figuring out what worked on the market, they wanted to exploit their advantage to the fullest.
Their team however was small and needed additional resources and skills to bring them there. Bitly asked for advice about team structure and responsibilities.
We setup a recruiting funnel, sourced and interviewed candidates, as well as trained the internal resources to do good tech interviews. Among other techniques, we created code challenges and case studies for candidates.
At the same time, we upskilled existing tech resources, training them in Git best practices, Terraform, Unit Testing, and E2E testing.
Training the developers in solid engineering practices, as well as the influx of new talent created a tech culture and rhythm that was able to bring innovation and revenue.
Bitly quickly saw their revenue soar. Their tech team was confident using the new technologies. We were able to build on the excellent foundation created since inception.
