USE CASES
The client’s mission was to reshape e-commerce. They were growing rapidly and cost-consciously. Z7 added to the talent they already had in-house introducing an interim Chief Product and Technology Officer.
The Product and Engineering value stream needed to be restructured – both to make it more flexible, and to align post-merger, extracting the best talent and avoiding overlap. The goal was to ensure technology supports their internal and external needs better.
Z7 reshaped the IT organisation. Harnessing the interim CPTO’s past experience with M&As, founding teams and executive management, Z7 was able to introduce flexibility and meritocracy in the way solutions were delivered. As both results and cost were important, we focused on aligning delivery processes across de-centralised, geographically distributed teams.
The achievements were cost reduction through near- and offshoring, improved internal communications, and a strategy to manage resources so that they deliver solutions more effectively and on expectations.
